This is very important, especially if your paypal name and phone / mobile number on your paypal account is entirely different to the name and number you used with office staff to book your appointment under with the office staff.
Deposit payment secures your agreed appointment time.
Please note that "prepaid discounts" only apply to appointments booked and paid online, not appointments that have been booked over the phone with office staff or only the deposit paid and the balance paid at the appointment. Why? I do not have to pay office staff to make those bookings. Whereas for bookings made over the phone, I do.
