Keeping your feet on the ground...
Sometimes people come to me suffering an inability to ground themselves, it's that "involuntary out of body experience" which most people feel uncomfortable with, and a small percentage of people may actually enjoy that 'not-quite-here' feeling. That fuzzy feeling can be caused by shock, emotional, physical trauma, poor diet, the need to rest from heavily loaded spiritual work, or a desire to detach from the reality of what can be difficult or confronting life circumstances.
Having survived a near death experience as a young child from a drowning accident, and having recalled my time on the other side before returning, I was given the ability to find respite in a place of chosen detachment, I agreed to return to this life after this area of refuge was offered to me, and it made me able to walks between worlds from early childhood and throughout my life. It is a place that I slipped across into periodically throughout my growing years for refuge to recharge, reflect and review between challenges in the varying stages of growth I went through through to adulthood as a part of the expansion of my consciousness, and well, me getting my karmic house in order. I still go there form time to time as needed when a real life 'time out' isn't possible.
My trouble has not been learning to go out of my body and traverse the wide open astral planes, but in fact learning to stay in my body, harmonize with it, enjoy it as it is for all it is, and deal with the fact that my will may be strong, but it's my body who has the final say, and will be heard if I am pushing myself too far and ignoring the vehicle's maintenance.
Some of the key questions you have to ask yourself when you are developing your gifts are:-
As long as you can answer yes to all three, you are heading in the right direction.
If you feel ungrounded it may be important to remember, there could also have a medical or neurological reason. You should check in with your doctor if necessary.

Some of the key questions you have to ask yourself when you are developing your gifts are:-
- Am I able to function in my daily life?
- Are the messages, images and impressions I receive accurate and confirmable by real life events that later come to pass?
- Is this gift helping me and others with positive messages and helping to empower myself and them?
As long as you can answer yes to all three, you are heading in the right direction.
If you feel ungrounded it may be important to remember, there could also have a medical or neurological reason. You should check in with your doctor if necessary.
Things that help your development
- Joining a development class with a well organised and balanced psychic development teacher who is well recognised and accomplished in their field. Out of self respect and respect for your training, finish each course you start and only do one course at a time.
- Take the time to digest and experience the value of the information you take in. Don't buy every single book out there on psychic development and only reading about half of the sum total of all of them.
- Practice self control and compassion for how others might feel by not blurting out your "visions" to complete strangers on the street or wherever else you meet people.
- Avoid getting addicted, avoid having readings "every other week/month" with so many different psychics you can't even recall who you consulted, what they said, or that your bank balance is quite possibly shrinking fast.
- Journalling helps keep a record of your visions and shows how your visions came to pass. It gives you the opportunity of a body of evidence of outcomes matching the impressions received. It is also something you can come back to, read and reflect on how you used to think - when you reflect back on it years ago, when you return to read it years later.
- Practising balance in your life also helps ground you, this means going about your normal daily life, paying your bills, keeping your job, helping your family, helping the less fortunate and finding your happiness and living it out.
- Doing physical things can also help, like: gardening, cooking, cleaning, volunteering, helping with a working bee at your children's school.
- Doing left brain tasks can also help, like: book keeping, data entry, maths or cross word puzzles, problem solving, writing lists for tasks and identifying priorities and then implementing them. Taking charge of whatever may be causing distress, having counselling where necessary.
- If you feel ungrounded, try natural foods and drinks such as: Ginger, coffee, spicy food, pumpkin, oranges, other root vegetables. Glucose lollies are not for you if feeling this way.
- Burning ritual incenses, herbs and resins like: a mix of Patchouli, Frankincense, and Dragons Blood
